SLISCO LTD is a Rwanda-based company established in 2020 by MUSABYIMANA Joseph with the aim of bridging communication gaps and promoting inclusive access to services, particularly for persons with disabilities. The company provides comprehensive language solutions, event management, consultancy, and non-consultancy services to government institutions, private sector organizations, NGOs, and individuals in Rwanda and internationally. SLISCO LTD is driven by a mission to remove communication barriers, promote inclusivity, and deliver high-quality professional services across diverse sectors.
MUSABYIMANA Joseph,owner and managing Director after realizing the gaps in services provision among the Deaf, Deaf-blind, and hard-of-hearing community, to provides on-site language interpreters for all individuals In Rwanda and out of the country, It also provides Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) nationally forlanguage and spoken language. Its entire staff knows many languages such as French, English, Kinyarwanda, and sign language. Our clients can reach us by using their preferred method: videophone (VP), email, FaceTime (video), Skype (video), fax, or phone (voice), and call using the telephone.
It works with well-trained and highly skilled interpreters, our interpreters possess certification from language institutions or associations, and SLISCO Ltd interpreters are specialized in, but not limited to: education, medical, business, legal, Deaf-Blind, platform/conference, and performing arts interpreting.
SLISCO Ltd is advised quarterly by Advisory Team (AT) including persons with disabilities. The AT is comprised of Deaf, Deaf-Blind, and hard-of-hearing individuals from the community with different backgrounds. There is also an interpreter's representative. The purpose of the AT is to provide cultural perspectives to guide interpreters on how to address needs and trends in the community, as well as advise SLISCO Ltd on any business decisions they make that may impact the community. Offers a variety of training opportunities for interpreters, mentors, businesses, and organizations related to Deaf culture, sign language, and professional development. Interestingly the company doesn't focus only on interpretation services but also supplies goods and services depending on the needs of customers or clients in the region.
